Isolated thunderstorm chances for Long Island tonight; Monday will feel like summer

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Julian Seawright says there is an isolate thunderstorm chance tonight with periods of heavy rain. Monday will feel like summer, with plenty of sun with some clouds and areas creeping near 80 degrees.

• Cooling back down on Tuesday/Wednesday with some scattered rain chances. This will be off and on, not expecting steady rain.
• Thursday and Friday we dry back out with slightly milder temperatures.

FORECAST:

OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and warm with some scattered rain and an isolated thunderstorm possible overnight. Lows will be in the middle to upper 50s.

MONDAY: A mix of sun and clouds and warm. Highs will be near 80 degrees. Lows in the low 50s.

TUESDAY: Mostly cloudy and cooler with on and off rain chances throughout the day. Highs will be in the low 60s. Lows will be near 50 degrees.

WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy with some sprinkles or light rain showers. Highs will be in the low 60s. Lows will be upper 40s.

THURSDAY: A mix of sun and clouds, dry and a little milder. Highs in the upper 60s. Lows in the upper 40s.
