The Latest Storm Tracker Forecast from Meteorologist Kevin Appleby:

We saw a few showers and isolated downpours traverse the region Sunday morning. We tapped into some sunshine into earlier Sunday afternoon before clouds rolled back in. You may have even noticed a bit of humidity later in the day! Temperatures surged into the low to mid 70s. Additional showers flared up later Saturday afternoon, lingering into early Sunday evening..

Clouds will generally stick around overnight, keeping temperatures mild again. Most of us will wake up to temperatures in the 40s to around 50 Monday morning, just like Sunday morning.

A slow-moving boundary will be draped right over the News10 viewing area, with a large difference in high temperatures expected depending on which side of the front you find yourself on.

This boundary may squeeze out a few spotty light rain showers. Otherwise, cloud cover will decrease during the afternoon. High temperatures push the mid 70s to the southwest, while they struggle to reach the upper 50s up to the northeast.

More showers, along with a rumble of thunder or two, are possible Monday night into early Tuesday morning. An approaching system Tuesday will bring showers and thunderstorms after lunchtime, but especially Tuesday evening and overnight where rain & storms will be the most widespread.

A good chunk of Tuesday will feature dry time. Like Sunday, I think the safest bet for dry weather will be late morning into the early afternoon, with steadier rains holding off until the evening. After a morning rain shower or two Wednesday morning, skies begin to clear out, allowing temperatures to rise back close to 70.

Thursday looks nothing short of fantastic with temperatures pushing the mid 70s under a mixture of clouds and sun. Similar temperatures are expected Friday before cloud cover increases later in the day ahead of some showers and cooler conditions on tap for Saturday.

Dry but cool conditions look to start off the beginning of the following week, before rain and storm chances increase next Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures should be close to seasonable values by then.
