Sunshine and warm temps for Mother's Day weekend in the Mid-South

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - We are tracking some great weather for this evening and into Mother's Day! Lots of sunshine mixed with some clouds throughout the day as temperatures will be in the lower 80s by the afternoon!

Rain chances return on late Sunday night into Monday. We are currently under level 1 of 5 chances for severe weather. We are expecting a few gusty storms, no crazy severe weather is even possible this time around. Rain and thunderstorms will be possible Monday and Tuesday as between 1-3 inches of rain could fall across the region. We will then be increasing the sunshine and temperatures will be back into the 80s for the remainder of the week with the next chance for any rain coming Friday into Friday night. Highs in the lower 80s. Rain chances increase after dark. High of 82 degrees. Winds SW 5-10mph. MONDAY: Periods of showers throughout the day. Temperatures are staying warmer, in the middle 70s for most. A bit breezy from time to time. Rain chances continue into Tuesday. High of 71 degrees. Winds se 10-15mph. TUESDAY: Periods of showers and a few thunderstorms possible. Highs a bit warmer than Monday. Still mostly cloudy when it is not raining. High of 77 degrees. Winds W 10-15mph. WEDNESDAY: A few clouds during the morning with increasing sunshine and warmth. Highs back into the 80s. Warm and calm. High of 80 degrees. Winds W 5-10mph.
