X-Men 97 Creator Comments on Spider-Man Rumors

Spider-Man may show up in X-Men 97 very soon. At least, that’s the tease given by X-Men 97 creator Beau DeMayo.

In response to a fan who who asked, “Tell us if Spider-Man will show up, that would make my life complete," DeMayo replied, “Just have to wait.”

It doesn’t feel like an empty promise given the most recent episode introduced another major Marvel superhero in Captain America.

There was also a reference to Hulk, with General Ross making an appearance and mentioning him by name.

X-Men 97 is fully integrated in the Marvel universe, so a Spider-Man cameo seems likely. But the show might go further and set up Spidey for his own show. After all, his animated series that ran for five seasons from from 1994 to 1998 is just as beloved as the original X-Men animated series that inspired X-Men 97 .

The praise for X-Men 97 surely has already resulted in Marvel greenlighting seasons 2 and 3, so a Spider-Man-focussed spinoff can’t be far behind. X-Men 97 is rated the best show of 2024 (so far) .

As DeMayo says, we just have to wait.
