Christina Applegate frankly discussed the repercussions she faced after eating a salad contaminated with fecal matter.
The “Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead” star, who has multiple sclerosis , shared that she had to start wearing diapers out of convenience given that she was “pissing out of [her] ass for a few days.”
Applegate, 52, went for a stool test and was diagnosed with sapovirus, which causes “sporadic cases and occasional outbreaks of acute gastroenteritis,” according to the National Institutes of Health .
“It is when you ingest the fecal matter of someone else from your food,” she candidly explained.
“Someone else’s poop went into my mouth, and I ate it.”
The “Anchorman” star believes she contracted the virus from a salad she took to-go from a restaurant she has been frequenting for 15 years. She admitted to waking up in the middle of the night “in a pool of s–t.”
“Didn’t know it happened, and having MS at 3 o’clock in the morning and trying to change your sheets, it’s not fun,” she said, “but this brings me to my next point, which we can talk about: I’m wearing diapers.”
Sigler, who also has MS, said she also has had to turn to adult diapers in the past because the autoimmune disease can prevent a person from getting to a bathroom in time.
“Christina and I have talked about this. Putting on an adult diaper, you’re not gonna feel sexy,” the “Sopranos” alum, 42, said.
“You’re never gonna slip one on and be like, ‘I’m ready for my day.’ It’s something you gotta wear because your body is malfunctioning.”
Sigler announced in 2016 that she had been diagnosed with MS about 15 years prior.
