Jackson County deputies arrested a man following warrants out of two counties

JACKSON COUNTY, Fla. ( WMBB ) – Jackson County deputies arrested a man following warrants out of Jackson and Bay Counties on Saturday.

At around 7:00 p.m., deputies said they received information that Timothy Summerlin was at a local motel. When authorities arrived at the motel they located the room Summerlin was in and saw several other people including a child, deputies said.

Summerlin was arrested and escorted to a patrol vehicle. Deputies said Summerlin admitted there were hypodermic needles in the room because he “shoots up”.

Deputies returned to the motel for K-9 to conduct a sniff of the room. According to a news release, K-9 and deputies located a glass methamphetamine smoke pipe with methamphetamine residue, approximately 21 used hypodermic needles, and 32 clear plastic baggies with methamphetamine residue.

Summerlin was arrested for warrants and he is also being charged with Neglect of a child and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
