CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WOWK) — Driver’s licenses, IDs and motor vehicle renewals in West Virginia could not be issued Thursday due to hardware issues at the West Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).

They say the mainframe computer is down because of hardware issues. This means none of those can be issued at the 26 regional DMV offices, online, at DMV Now kiosks and at county sheriff’s offices.

There is no word on when these services will be restored, according to the DMV. Regional offices will continue to be open.
