Fourth person dies in fatal Rock County crash

LIMA, Wis. -- A fourth passenger involved in a three-vehicle crash in the Town of Lima over the weekend has died.

The Rock County Medical Examiner's Office said in a statement Thursday that the adult female died from her injuries early Thursday morning.

Her name will be later released by the Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Jeffrey Turnipseed, 67; Ericka Berg, 38; and Jamie Ranguette, 39 of Whitewater all died at the scene of a crash that occurred on April 13 near the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and East County Line Road.

Officials said the driver of an eastbound passenger van did not stop for a stop sign entering the intersection and collided with a southbound SUV. A fifth-wheel trailer hauling hay northbound on Highway 12 then collided with the front of the van.

Turnipseed, Berg and Ranguette were thrown from the van. A preliminary examination showed all three died of injuries sustained in the crash.
