Sobriety checkpoint to be held in Barbour County

PHILIPPI, W.Va. (WBOY) — A sobriety checkpoint is scheduled in Barbour County soon.

In a press release, the West Virginia State Police said the checkpoint will be on U.S. Route 250 about 1.4 miles north of State Route 38 and 1.1 miles south of S. Main Street and the Blue & Gray Expressway. It is scheduled to last from 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 25 to 2 a.m. on Friday, April 26.

Landowners in 26 West Virginia counties may qualify for flood disaster assistance

State police said that if the planned location of the checkpoint were to become unusable or unsafe, it will be moved to an alternate location in Barbour County on S. Main Street or the Blue & Gray Expressway.
