Coroner identifies man found dead in Horry County home

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — The Horry County Coroner’s Office has identified a 23-year-old man found dead inside his family’s home on Sunday.

Wismae Harris’ family found him dead just inside the door of their home on Long Branch Swamp Road in the Green Sea area at about 2 a.m., the coroner’s office said.

His time of death was determined to be just after midnight on Sunday and an autopsy revealed that a sharp instrument caused injuries to his upper body, the coroner’s office said.

The Horry County Police Department is investigating.
