Free health fair in Belmont County Wednesday

BELMONT COUNTY, Ohio (WTRF) –

Belmont County residents are invited to take another step toward better health.

A free health fair Wednesday at Bridgeport High School is being presented by the Belmont County NAACP, Wheeling Health Right and the Belmont County Health Department.

If it’s been a while since you’ve been to the doctor, they offer an easy way to know your numbers–from blood pressure to body mass index, and from cholesterol to blood sugar.
They can even help with your dental health and your mental health.

“They will be hooking up a machine to do some osteoporosis scanning, so that’s new for this year. So we’re very excited to be able to offer some of these services. There will also be some insurance options for those who have no insurance or are underinsured. “

So with that, each year they’re gonna learn more and we’re just going to find different ways to team up with the NAACP just to continue to reach families and promote that equity and that responsibility that we all should have as human beings.”
