Four people, dog rescued from steep cliff in Placer County

(FOX40.COM) —Four people and a dog were rescued by CAL FIRE and the Placer County Fire Department from a cliff Monday evening.

According to CAL FIRE NEU, the agency received a report of people stranded upstream from Foresthill Bridge. State Park Rangers later determined the area to be Training Hill near the Auburn side of Foresthill Road.

Two adults, two juveniles and the dog were found “100 feet over the side in a very steep section of the drainage,” CAL FIRE said.

According to CAL FIRE, the victims were rescued within 40 minutes.

CAL FIRE said none of the rescued were injured.
