LAVACA COUNTY, Texas - Steven Greenwell is prepared for the runoff race May 28. He is encouraging voters to show up to the polls. Early voting starts May 20.

Race for Lavaca County sheriff

In the March primary Steven Greenwell won 2,243 votes or 43% of the vote. His opponent incumbent sheriff Micah Harmon won 1,710 votes or 33% of the vote. A third candidate won 1,214 votes or 24% of the vote.

LAVACA COUNTY, Texas - Incumbent Lavaca County Sheriff Micah Harmon said he is trying to reach more voters as he heads into a runoff May 28. He faces Steven Greenwell in the runoff election. Sheriff Harmon had 33% of the vote in the primary election and Greenwell had 43%. A third opponent had 24% of the vote.
