The world has lost a ground breaking acting legend. On March 29th, 2024, Louis Gossett Jr. passed away in Santa Monica, California. He was 87 years old. Gossett Jr. was born in 1936 in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York. After obtaining a sports injury at age 17, he was encouraged to participate in a school play. Not long afterwards, he was encouraged to try out for a Broadway play. The rest, as they say, was history.

It appears that a struggling chain may have recieved a desperately needed lifeline. The restaurant industry has been in a tailspin since covid, especially in the casual dining and bars segment. Many major chains have been heavily discounting food and drink in order to bring people in. Recently TGI Fridays has $5 Happy Hours and appears to be doubling down on the bar scene again. Some of the chains also have gone above and beyond lowering margins and in some cases quality to keep the lights on. With this latest move, it seems that the single bar scene may have new life, we learned one of the world’s largest casual dining companies that proudly serves guests with over 850 restaurants in more than 55 countries was about to be taken over.

Annapolis, Maryland - Authorities are delving into the "suspicious death" of a potential kidnapping victim, whose body was reportedly discovered in a wooded locale last week. According to the Baltimore Police Department, the incident unfolded on March 28, just before 1 a.m., when officers were summoned to a residence following reports of a home invasion. Upon arrival, a woman recounted to the police that two unidentified men forcibly entered her home, demanding money. They purportedly claimed to have her son, 47-year-old David Winchester Jr., and threatened harm unless she complied with their monetary demands. The suspects absconded from the premises without the ransom.
