Ashe County arrest reports

The following information was provided by the Ashe County Sheriff’s Office. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

March 18

David A. Miller, 75, of Lansing, was charged with communicating threats. Miller was released on March 18 under a $1,500 unsecured bond.

Jacob A. Roten, 23, of Warrensville, was charged with driving with a revoked license, operating a vehicle with no insurance and fictitious/altered registration card/tag. Roten was released on March 19 under a $500 secured bond.

March 19

Mason M. Hamilton, 27, of North Wilkesboro, was charged with driving with a revoked license. Hamilton was released on March 19 under a $700 secured bond.

March 20

Anthony D. Byers, 50, of Jefferson, was charged with two counts of selling/delivering a Schedule II controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule III controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a Schedule II controlled substance and two counts of felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Byers was released on March 20 under a $25,000 secured bond.

Daniel L. Grubb, 31, of Lansing, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, selling methamphetamine, delivering methamphetamine and possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/deliver methamphetamine. Grubb is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.

Joe D. Makarski, 51, of Lansing, was charged with assault on a female and second-degree trespassing. Makarski was released on March 20.

Julie A. McNeill, 42, of Lansing, was charged with impeding traffic by sit/stand/lie. McNeill is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $3,000 secured bond.

March 21

Travis B. Walters, 36, of Grassy Creek, was charged with fleeing/eluding arrest with a motor vehicle, resisting a public officer and being a fugitive from another state. Walters is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $40,000 secured bond.

March 23

Jamison M. Jones, 19, of Lansing, was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence. Jones is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center.

Greta A. Wallace, 54, of Jefferson, was charged with misdemeanor larceny. Wallace was released on March 23 under a $1,000 unsecured bond.

March 25

Aaron J. Schronce, 43, of North Wilkesboro, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and two counts of simple possession of a Schedule II controlled substance. Schronce is currently being held at the Ashe County Detention Center under a $5,000 secured bond.
