
MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says a woman has been arrested in connection with a shooting early Sunday morning.
According to jail records, 59-year-old Donna Ann Navarre was arrested Sunday afternoon for charges of first-degree domestic violence and attempted murder.
HEMSI: One man taken to hospital after Madison Shooting The spokesperson for MCSO, Brent Patterson, told News 19 that deputies responded to the 100-block Clarice Circle around 5 a.m. for a shots fired call.
They found that a man had been shot by a woman, who investigators later identified as Navarre. According to Patterson, the two are believed to have been in a relationship.
The man was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
MCSO said Navarre was arrested without incident and taken to the Madison County Jail. She has a $15,000 bond on the attempted murder charge, but is being held without bond on the domestic violence charge.
