The spokesperson for MCSO, Brent Patterson, told News 19 that deputies responded to the 100-block Clarice Circle around 5 a.m. for a shots fired call.

They found that a man had been shot by a woman, who investigators later identified as Navarre. According to Patterson, the two are believed to have been in a relationship.

The man was transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.

MCSO said Navarre was arrested without incident and taken to the Madison County Jail. She has a $15,000 bond on the attempted murder charge, but is being held without bond on the domestic violence charge.
