A Cumberland County man last seen leaving his home last week is described as missing and endangered, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said Thursday morning.

Tyrone Hinton, 44, was last seen Sept. 20 getting into a dark blue, single-cab, short-bed pick-up truck at his residence in the 4900 block of Hummingbird Place in Cape Fear, according to a release from the N.C. Center for Missing Persons.

He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, black canvas shoes with white trim and a polo shirt with “Delta Staff” on the front in green letters, the release said.

The alert from the N.C. Center for Missing Persons stated that Hinton is believed to be suffering from a "cognitive impairment." The Sheriff's Office described him as being endangered due to a medical condition.
