THANK YOU. BALTIMORE COUNTY FIRE THAT DESTROYED TWO BUSINESSES AND SHUT DOWN A ROAD DURING RUSH HOUR IS UNDER INVESTIGATION. THIS HAPPENED IN THE 10,000 BLOCK OF YORK ROAD IN KHARKIV VILLE AROUND THREE THIS AFTERNOON. CREWS FIRST FOUND SMOKE COMING FROM A COMMERCIAL BUILDING AND THEN WHILE THEY WERE FIGHTING THE FLAMES, PART OF THAT BUILDING COLLAPSED. IT TOOK MORE THAN 100 FIREFIGHTERS TO BRING IT UNDER CONTROL. THE TWO BUSINESSES DESTROYED WERE AN ORIENTAL RUG COMPANY AND UT COMPUTER CLINIC.

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire Wednesday afternoon at two businesses in Cockeysville.Baltimore County fire officials told 11 News that firefighters were called shortly before 3 p.m. to the 10800 block of York Road, where smoke was billowing from a commercial building.Due to the intensity of the fire, crews fought the fire from a defensive position and are not entering the building.Fire officials reported a partial building collapse related to the fire.The fire was finally placed under control around 7 p.m. Over 100 firefighters fought to contain the blaze, officials said.An 11 News crew at the scene said the affected businesses include the Sass Resale Boutique and the UTX Computer Clinic.County police said York Road is shut down between Warren Road and Wight Avenue until further notice.No injuries have been reported.This report will be updated.

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire Wednesday afternoon at two businesses in Cockeysville.
