Investigation leads to arrest and confiscation of dangerous cartoon decorated LSD sheets

Tuesday, June 6, 2023 - On June 1 the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office and Roland Police Department teamed up to execute a search warrant for narcotics at a residence in the Town of Roland.

Following a lengthy investigation into the distribution of illegal drugs by SCSO Investigators Chris Grizzle and Dwayne Frizzell, a search warrant was obtained for a residence located near the intersection of PawPaw Road and Mayfield Street.

Upon execution of the search warrant, officers recovered nearly a pound of methamphetamine and a large amount of LSD “blotter sheets”.

During the search, authorities arrested Christopher Amundson (above) of Roland. Amundson was charged with aggravated trafficking CDS (methamphetamine), aggravated trafficking of LSD, and possession of marijuana.

"This is by far the most LSD we have seen. There were well over 2000 dosage units of LSD," Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane said. "This LSD was on cardboard sheets, colored like cartoon characters, and therefore would be very attractive to young kids. If a kid simply touches one of these cards, the LSD could be ingested through their skin."

Lane further stated that this investigation is far from over and there may be more search warrants and arrests made in the near future.

Amundson is being held on a $60,000 bond.
