Indianola, Mississippi police officer suspended without pay after shooting 11-year-old Aderrien Murry: report
SUMMARY: Sgt. Greg Capers of the Indianola Police Department has been suspended without pay following the shooting of an 11-year-old boy during a domestic disturbance call. The boy, identified as Aderrien Murry, spent five days in the hospital for treatment of injuries that include a collapsed lung, lacerated liver, and fractured ribs. The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident, and Capers was reported to be the officer that fired the shot.

MDAH Board approves demolition permit for Eudora Welty Library
