A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for coastal Colleton and Charleston counties from 6 p.m. until midnight. Major saltwater inundation, or flooding, is expected. Saltwater inundation will be possible two to three hours before and after high tide. High tide is at 9:10 p.m. Charleston Harbor flood stage is seven feet, and major flood stage is eight feet.

With major saltwater flooding expected, roads may become impassable, which may result in road closures. If you come across a flooded roadway, do not drive through it- turn around, don't drown.

This weekend's coastal flooding is due to onshore winds and the recent full moon.

A Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect for tidal Berkeley County until midnight, as well.
