Coastal Flood Warning, Advisory in effect for Lowcountry counties this evening

Coastal Flood Advisory (WCIV)
CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) —

A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect for coastal Colleton and Charleston counties from 6 p.m. until midnight. Major saltwater inundation, or flooding, is expected. Saltwater inundation will be possible two to three hours before and after high tide. High tide is at 9:10 p.m. Charleston Harbor flood stage is seven feet, and major flood stage is eight feet.

With major saltwater flooding expected, roads may become impassable, which may result in road closures. If you come across a flooded roadway, do not drive through it- turn around, don't drown.
