Celtic have continuously strengthened their roster during the time of Ange Postecoglou as the manager of the club. That has resulted in the squad being completely transformed. Not too long ago, the Australian was having to play people out of position just to make up a starting XI. That is no longer the case now, as he has multiple options to choose from in every position.

At the same time though, the stacked squad will not be attractive for the club’s youth stars, who are looking to make their mark in the senior game. The Hoops’ record of bringing through youngsters has not been great in recent years anyway.

That has resulted in a number of them leaving the club before they can ever make their mark in the senior team. And it looks like another promising talent is now headed out of Parkhead.

As reported by the Daily Record, Tsoanelo Letsosa has turned down a new contract at Celtic. He has informed the Hoops of his decision not to re-sign.

Letsosa is a very highly rated talent at Parkhead. He has been at the club since he was 12 years of age. As a result, him not signing a new deal, and leaving, would be a blow to the Hoops for sure.

It remains to be seen what the future holds for him. But it looks like he will be heading south and joining an English team, like so many before him have done after departing Parkhead.

Just 18 years of age, Letsosa has been a regular for the Celtic B team in the Lowland League and played UEFA Youth League football too. The midfielder has also represented Scotland at youth level as well. But it looks like he sees his chances of development in the senior game better away from Parkhead.
