Police investigating smashed window, theft in Lancaster County parking lot

The victims alleged that their locked car had the passenger side window smashed in and a black purse was stolen.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Lancaster County police are investigating a reported theft. 

According to the Columbia Borough Police Department, on March 24 at 4:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Bridge Street for a theft report. 

Officers spoke with the victims, who alleged they had left their locked silver 2013 Toyota Tacoma in a parking lot for less than a half hour while they shopped. When they returned to the car, the front passenger window was shattered and a black purse was stolen. 

According to the victims, the purse contained AAA cards, a Truist Bank debit card, a Lowes credit card, a Home Depot credit card, a driver's license, $12 cash, house keys, car keys and a work ID.
