OLED TVs are gaining popularity thanks to their superior picture quality, though their prices can still be prohibitively expensive for a lot of us. If you've got the budget for a premium smart TV, LG's C2 Series OLED TV is the best high-end TV you can buy for the money -- and right now Amazon is making it a lot more affordable. The retailer is offering the 48-inch model at a huge discount for a limited time, dropping it down to just $830. That's a $470 discount and it brings the price down to the lowest we've seen.

This LG smart TV is our top pick for those looking for a high-end OLED screen in 2023 and this is the best price to date on the 48-inch model. Plus, with this deal, the 48-inch is actually cheaper than the 42-inch model, currently. We don't know how long this offer will last, so we recommend making your purchase sooner rather than later.

Read our LG OLED C2 Series 2022 review.

The C2 Series tops many of CNET's best TV lists, including the best smart TVs, best 4K TVs and overall best TV collections for those looking at high-end options. In our testing, we found it to be the pinnacle of picture quality with perfect black levels, unbeatable contrast and superb off-angle viewing. It has some stellar gaming-focused features like Nvidia G-Sync, AMD FreeSync Premium and LG's own Game Optimizer, plus it has a 120Hz refresh rate and powerful A9 Gen5 AI processor so browsing feels snappy.

This TV also looks super sleek, which is important if it's going to take pride of place in your living room, and the WebOS software is easy enough to use, if a little crowded, with access to all of the streaming apps you would want. If you don't like the built-in software, there are four HDMI 2.1 ports for hooking up something like an Apple TV or Fire TV Stick if that's your preferred option.
