Yet another atmospheric river is bringing rain and snow to Southern California this week.
The National Weather Service is forecasting one to three inches of rain along the coastal areas and valleys, and two to four inches of rain in the mountains and foothill communities before snow begins to fall on Tuesday.
“A strong storm will bring moderate to heavy rain and mountain snow along with very strong winds to the area late (Monday night) through Wednesday,” NWS said.
Wind gusts of up to 55 miles per hour are expected.
High Wind Warnings have been issued for Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning for Orange County, the mountains of Riverside and San Bernardino counties, Apple and Lucerne Valleys, Morongo Basin and the Santa Ana Mountains and foothills.
Snow will fall as low as 3,000 feet, with two to four feet of snow expected at 6,000 feet and above.
