Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly are enjoying diverse fortunes as they approach the final game of their Caf Champions League group stage campaign, following a dramatic penultimate gameweek.

While Percy Tau excelled as the Brazilians blew away Coton Sport 4-0 away, Sundowns were held 1-1 by Al Hilal following a disastrous Ronwen Williams error.

Sundowns’ draw means they miss out on consolidating top spot in the group, whereas the extra point for Hilal makes life a little tougher for Ahly as the African giants look to avoid elimination.
