Nantucket police announced on social media Saturday that Furtado began his law enforcement career on the island, serving as a summer special officer before being hired full-time in June 2005. He then joined the State Police, graduating the State Police Academy in 2006.

LEWISTON, ID - A 49-year-old Lewiston man who was convicted of trafficking nearly two pounds of methamphetamine was sentenced today in Nez Perce County Second District Court.
