Certain restaurant chains make so much sense, and yet, for one reason or another, slowly vanish, and by the time you realize something happened, the chain has disappeared. You might remember Ponderosa, where you could purchase access to an all-you-can-eat buffet and top it off with a $0.99 steak on top of it. Of course, the steak tasted and chewed, very much like a dollar steak would, but for many, it held a special place with them. Other restaurant chains have gone by the wayside around Phoenix, but one has slowly started to crawl back, and its return to Arizona is right around the corner.
