PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police are looking for two hit-and-run drivers who killed two pedestrians Sunday night.

The first happened around 11:45 p.m. on Princeton Avenue near Jackson Street in Tacony.

Officials say 19-year-old Rashili Amari Clark from Hanover was inside a car with three others near the Charles A. Russo playground when they got into an argument with the driver of a dark-colored GMC pickup truck.

Investigators say words were exchanged between the people in the two cars and someone spit at the other car, then they parted ways.

Eventually, those inside Clark’s car noticed the pickup truck was following them so, when they neared Jackson Street, Clark got out to confront the driver.

That’s when authorities say the truck driver purposely struck Clark, left him on the street and took off.

The group took Clark to the hospital, where he died.

Nearly two hours later, around 1:30 a.m. in Southwest Philly, a person driving a 2019 Kia hit a 32-year-old man in the crosswalk near 64th Street and Buist Avenue. Police say he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Kia was found partially burned about five blocks away at South 62nd Street and Harley Avenue. Police say the car was towed.

No arrests have been made and the Crash Investigation Division is still investigating the incidents.

Police are asking anyone with information on either incident to text 215-686- TIPS or call 215-686-8477.
