Wrestling: Hanover Park cruises past Hasbrouck Heights to take N2G1 sectional title

Top-seeded Hanover Park repeated as sectional champions by cruising to a 62-9 victory over Hasbrouck Heights in the sectional final of the North 2, Group 1 NJSIAA/Rothman Orthopaedics wrestling tournament, in East Hanover.

The win gave the Hornets its ninth sectional title since 2011 and its 14th sectional title overall.

The Hornets improved to 15-5 while the Aviators ended its team season with a 16-5 record.

Hanover Park will make a trip to Alexandria on Friday to face No. 14 Delaware Valley in the Group 1 semifinals. The Terriers handed Hanover Park a 46-22 loss in a regular season match on Jan. 21.
