Fear the Walking Dead stars Christine Evangelista and Austin Amelio have paid tribute to the show ahead of the final season.
The zombie drama will be calling it a day this year after eight seasons, with spinoffs for Rick and Michonne, Daryl Dixon, and Maggie and Negan soon arriving to fill in that gap and expand The Walking Dead's universe.
Amelio and Evangelista have begun their goodbyes to Dwight and Sherry though, after the characters were first introduced to fans during the sixth season of the flagship series before crossing over to the spinoff.

Posting two snaps of Sherry in action on Instagram, Evangelista wrote: "We are The Walking Dead. Grateful to have been a part of this insane world and man, I loved every minute of it. Bringing you the final season of @feartwd May 14th."
Many fans took to the comment section to thank and praise the actress for her portrayal of the character, with one writing: "Sad to see it end!!! Loved that you joined this cast and kept Sherry's story alive. Can't wait to see what you're up to after Fear ends."

Amelio, meanwhile, posted a breathtaking photo of Dwight on horseback to his own Instagram account, along with the caption: "Gon' miss this world."
"The most underrated TWD character of all time…certified savaged warrior," one fan commented on the post, while another added: "A job well done is an understatement. Excellence from the first episode to the last."
The tributes come after a photo from the set of season eight teased a reunion between Kim Dickens (Madison Clark), Colman Domingo (Victor Strand), Rubén Blades (Daniel Salazar), and Danay García (Luciana Galvez).
Fear the Walking Dead returns for its eighth and final season on Sunday, May 14 at 9pm ET on AMC in the US, and will air on AMC on BT TV in the UK.
