Another list of the best pizza places is out, and this longtime Portland favorite made the cut

Travel website Trips to Discover “tracked down the top-rated pizza joints in pizza-loving cities across the United States” to create a list of Best Pizza Joints in the United States. Yet again an old Portland favorite has made the list of the best of the best.

Ken’s Artisan Pizza is featured as one of the country’s 20 best pizza places, in company with Joe’s Pizza in NYC and Pequod’s Pizza in Chicago – among others.

The reasons Ken’s made the list? The pizzeria “fuses true Italian-style, wood-fired pizza with fresh, seasonal ingredients,” according to the Trips to Discover post. The list dubbed The Brooklyn pizza, which “features tomato sauce, mozzarella, Fra’Mani capicollo, pickled jalapeño, and that unexpected factor, a touch of honey” as “perfection.”

This best-of list comes just a few weeks after Ken’s won the No. 2 spot on a global list of the world’s best pizza places, put together by another travel site, Big 7 Travel.

Any time a “best” ranking comes out, people have strong opinions – but opinions are particularly strong about pizza. Back in December, when the Big 7 Travel list came out, Portlanders gave voice to their thoughts on social media – and there’s no reason to expect that this time will be any different.

Tuesday-Thursday: 5 to 9 p.m.

Friday-Saturday: 5 to 10 p.m.

Sunday: 4:30 to 9 p.m.
