🤼‍♂️ Area wrestlers represented in latest KWCA rankings

Several area wrestlers are represented again this week in the latest Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association rankings released late Tuesday.

The Hays High boys have four ranked. Harley Zimmerman remains No. 1 at 132, freshman Grady Lind is ranked fifth at 106, junior Elijah McCullough is sixth at 113 and senior Cyrus Vajner is sixth at 126.

The Hays girls have two ranked. Senior Sarah Zimmarman is third at 110 and sophomore Tionna Napue is fourth at 115.

Mason Younger of Ellis remains No. 1 at 126 in 3-2-1A with teammate Jarrett Mader second at 144. Plainville senior Kyle Werner is second at 190 and Cohen Kaiser is fourth at 132. Hill City has four ranked. Sophomore Alexander Hamel is fourth at 106, sophomore Dayton Stephens fourth at 150, junior Aiden Amrein fifth at 165 and senior Conner Dinkel sixth at 190.

Trego junior Adrian Wynn is ranked fourth at 115 in 4-1A girls. Stockton sophomore Ashlyn Hahn is fourth at 120, Quinter freshman Cali Wagoner fourth at 135 and Plainville sophomore Zoe Brown fourth at 145.

The Hoxie boys continue to hold down the top spot in the 321A team rankings. Norton is third, Smith Center fourth, Hill City eighth and Ellis ninth.

Girls regionals are this Saturday (February. 11). The boys regionals are the following weekend (February 17-18).
