Authorities investigating reported bomb threats at Walmart stores across New Hampshire

CONCORD, New Hampshire — Law enforcement officials are investigating reported bomb threats against Walmart stores across New Hampshire on Wednesday morning.

The Department of Safety says it’s aware of “multiple calls reporting bombs” at Walmart locations around the Granite State.

“Multiple state agencies are assisting local law enforcement agencies that are responding to those calls and with the investigation into those calls,” the Department of Safety said in a statement. “The New Hampshire Information and Analysis Center is assisting by sharing information between local, state and federal agencies.”

These reports are believed to be a hoax, but officials noted that the “threats will be taken seriously until such time as their validity is determined.”

Other Walmart stores across the country have reported receiving hoax threats, but no threats have surfaced in Massachusetts at this time.

Anyone who witnesses suspicious activity is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency or 9-1-1.

There were no additional details immediately available.
