Duce Robinson is not the first high-profile football prospect to have another career option in baseball, but it is clear that the Arizona native's two-sport ability is part of the the reason he has yet to commit and sign to a school.

Now that the regular signing period is open, Robinson, who spoke at a baseball showcase, has made it clear that he will have his decision made by the end of the signing period the latest.

“April 1st is the cut-off date so I’ll have a decision by then,” Robinson told a 247Sports reporter on Saturday following the Day 1 workout at USC’s Dedeaux Field. “As far as when that date might be, I couldn’t really tell you. A hundred percent plan on committing and signing to a school and being there whenever move-in day is.”

Robinson is the consensus No. 1 tight end prospect in the 2023 class who has offers from every school you could think of, including Alabama. But similar to the Tide's Dylan Lonergan, his skills on the diamond are just as good as his skills on the gridiron. He has a legitimate opportunity to be selected in the upcoming MLB Draft, so there's a chance that whatever comes of his baseball career will have a huge impact on his football career.
