Ms. Wanda ‘Nita’ Kirksey, 82, of Cunningham, Tennessee, was called home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 7, 2023, at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee.
She was born Saturday, July 27, 1940 in Dover, Tennessee, the beloved daughter of the late Chester and Hazel Lee. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son: Barry Kentner; a daughter: Stephanie Kentner Brown; husband: Charles ‘Tom’ Kentner; and other husband: Horace Kirksey.
Nita enjoyed the simple things in life – being a loving and devoted mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and loyal friend to many.
Nita enjoyed having her family together cooking and making memories.
She especially loved working in the garden with her flowers and other plants.
She leaves behind those that loved her dearly: daughter: Tracy Dewese (David); son: Jeff Delaney (Debbie); brothers: Charles Lee (Vicki), Dean Lee (Diane), and Billy Lee (Jennifer); sisters: Carol Vinson (John) and Rebecca Wallace (Donnie); six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and five great-granddaughters.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Anglin Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Wofford Cemetery with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
