Described as a “murder mystery” in a press release from international sales agent Rocket Science, the film will follow two siblings (Wood, Gad) who find a dead body in their parents’ basement. According to the release, the discovery sends “them down a rabbit hole of crime and murder.” Carrigan’s character was not revealed.

In a statement, Winter notes, “I’m thrilled to be working with Evan, Josh, and Anthony on this darkly comic crime drama, which takes a sly look at the challenges we all face today, trying to survive in the modern world.”

Winter is best known for his role in front of the camera in the “Bill and Ted” franchise. His directing credits include the documentary projects “Deep Web,” “Zappa” and “Showbiz Kids” as well as the narrative feature “Fever” which screened in Director’s Fortnight in 1999. Winter will also play a role on screen in “The Adults.”

Wood recently appeared in “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” Her next project is Kate Denis’ World War II drama “All That I Am” which will also star Eliza Scanlen, Rufus Sewell, and Vanessa Redgrave.

A Grammy winner and Tony Award nominee for “The Book of Mormon,” Gad was recently seen in the Peacock comedy “Wolf Like Me” which is expected to return for a second season later this year. He will appear in an episode of the comedy anthology series “History of the World, Part II” next month.

Currently nominated for two 2023 SAG Awards for his role on HBO’s “Barry,” Carrigan previously worked with Winter on 2020’s “Bill and Ted Face the Music.” The fourth season of “Barry” is also expected sometime in 2023.
