The New York Yankees were certainly busy Tuesday.

New York signed a bevy of players to minor league deals with an invite to spring training Tuesday and one player they officially signed was former Boston Red Sox pitcher Tyler Danish, according to MLB Insider Mark Feinsand.

Danish played for the Red Sox in 2022 and made 32 appearances out of the Boston bullpen and compiled a 5.13 ERA and recorded 32 strikeouts in 40 1/3 innings pitched. The 28-year-old began his Major League Baseball career with the Chicago White Sox in 2016 and spent three seasons with the club.

In three seasons in Chicago, Danish recorded a 4.85 ERA in a small sample size of 11 games and 13 innings pitched. Danish bounced around from 2019 to 2022 and spent time in the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Angels' farm systems and also had a stint playing Indy Ball.

Danish likely won't have a massive impact on the Yankees' bullpen. But, if he's able to shine in spring training and crack New York's roster, he could be a depth option for the club with big-league experience.

Even if he's unable to make the major league roster and starts in the Yankees' minor league system, he could be a valuable depth piece. Danish has four years of MLB experience and also plenty of minor-league experience as well. He may not be the best option for New York, but if the club needs depth it certainly knows what it can get out of him.

At the end of the day, New York's signing of Danish doesn't move the needle much for the club, but the relief pitcher may get a taste of both sides of the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry.
