"Circumstances beyond our control forced what we hope is a temporary shutdown," a statement posted on the brewery's Facebook page said. "We deeply regret the impact this has had on our staff and our community."
This announcement comes nearly three weeks after the business confirmed some employees were furloughed for a month while the kitchen would close. At the time, a Facebook postsaid the brewery was using the month of January, "typically the slowest month in the service industry, to plan, and remodel."
In Tuesday's announcement, business leaders said they were looking for solutions and "hope to announce plans in the coming weeks to restore jobs lost due to this very unfortunate situation."
In previous reporting, News 13 spoke with the brewery's landlord, Bill Palas. He said he thought very highly of the owners, Gary Semack and Josh Dillard, who had leased the space for about seven years, but Palas declined to comment on their lease status.
