Mila Kunis trolls Ashton Kutcher, Reese Witherspoon over ‘awkward’ red carpet pics

Mila Kunis trolled husband Ashton Kutcher and his “Your Place or Mine” co-star Reese Witherspoon for their awkward red carpet poses at the premiere of their new Netflix movie.

“[Mila] even emailed us last night. She goes, ‘You guys look so awkward on the red carpet together,’” Witherspoon revealed during her Monday guest appearance on “Today With Hoda & Jenna.”

Pics from the Los Angeles premiere showed Witherspoon, 46, and Kutcher, 45, keeping an obvious – and very awkward – distance from each other as photographers snapped their pics.

They also kept their hands to themselves instead of wrapping their arms around each other.

Witherspoon said she laughed off the playful jab, calling the banter “just fun.”

The “Morning Show” actress also noted that she knew Kunis, 39, long before she and Kutcher ever met.

“I’m better friends with Mila because I had known her for a very long time,” Witherspoon explained. “It was just fun to get to know her significant other because I’ve loved her for so long. “

And Witherspoon clarified that while their red carpet pics may have come off as “awkward,” there was no weirdness on set with Kutcher when they had to play each others’ love interests on screen.

“He’s so professional,” Witherspoon said of Kutcher. “He’s the funniest guy. I mean, such a goofball. We had so much fun and every time he’d wear a funny outfit I’d text Mila, like, ‘What is he wearing?’”

Witherspoon also spoke about how excited she is to star in her first Netflix film.

“I try to watch what audiences are doing and moms who have two kids or they have older parents that they’re taking care of, that’s my audience,” she said. “I want to go to where they are. I don’t want to have to expect them to come to me.”

She also shared what viewers can expect from her upcoming romantic comedy.

“This movie is really a love letter to single moms,” Witherspoon said. “It’s about second chances and hope and optimism.”

Witherspoon is a mom of three. She shares daughter Ava, 23, and son Deacon, 19, with her ex-husband, Ryan Phillippe. She also shares a son, 10-year-old Tennessee, with husband Jim Toth.

Meanwhile, Kutcher and Kunis, who got married in 2015, share two kids: 8-year-old daughter Wyatt and 6-year-old son Dimitri.

As Page Six previously reported, Kutcher admitted earlier this month that he intentionally stood far away from Witherspoon on the red carpet to avoid any affair rumors

“Here’s the thing: If I put my arm around her and was, like, all friendly with her, I’d be having an affair with her,” the actor said on the “Chicks in the Office” podcast.

“If I stand next to her and I put my hands in my pockets, so there’s no chance that, like, that could be the rumor, the rumor is we don’t like each other.”

“Your Place or Mine” drops Friday on Netflix.
