Google rolls out February 2023 update with Clear Calling fix for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

Google has started rolling out February 2023 round of updates for recent Pixel smartphones. The company explains in a blog post that it will complete the rollout throughout this week and into week, so it could be a few days before TQ1A.230205 reaches your device. Regardless, the Pixel 4a through Pixel 7 Pro are eligible for this month's update.

As always, this month's software update contains the latest round of Android security patches. While Google does not include what changes it has bundled within the February 2023 security patch, you can find full details on its accompanying Pixel Update Bulletin. For reference, it seems that Google has only addressed three Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) in the 2023-02-05 security patch.

Additionally, this month's Pixel update contains four fixes, with one tied to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. However, this is because Clear Calling is a Pixel 7 series-specific feature. Moreover, Google has bundled accessibility, Bluetooth and framework bug fixes, the full list of which we have included below.

  • Fix for issue occasionally causing instability while Clear Calling is enabled in certain conditions (Pixel 7 & Pixel 7 Pro)

  • Fix for issue occasionally preventing connection with certain Bluetooth devices or accessories

• Framework
  • Fix for issue occasionally preventing Work profile calendar information from updating in the background
