Ruth Noemi Bermudez-Chavez was fatally struck by a vehicle on Sunday, Feb. 5, in the 13600 block of Georgia Avenue near Hewitt Avenue, according to Montgomery County Police.
Officers responded to the crash shortly after 7:30 p.m., where they pronounced Bermudez-Chavez dead on the scene. Police say that Bermudez-Chavez was struck by a northbound blue 2002 Ford Taurus.
The driver of the Ford stayed on the scene after the collision, police noted.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating this collision. Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact CRU detectives at 240-773-6620.
