Wrigley Field will play host to Iowa and Northwestern later this year.

The programs announced on Tuesday morning that they will face off at Wrigley Field on Nov. 4. This will be the 3rd game for Northwestern at Wrigley Field in recent memory.

The Wildcats also played Purdue at the Friendly Confines back in 2021. Prior to that matchup, Northwestern faced off against Illinois in 2010 with ESPN’s College GameDay in attendance.

Before those 2 games, the last time Wrigley Field hosted a college football game was in 1938.

This year’s matchup between Northwestern and Iowa could end up having Big Ten West implications. The Hawkeyes have dominated this series in recent years, winning 2 in a row and 3 of the last 4.

Iowa also holds the all-time record advantage in this series, 53-28-3.

The kickoff time for this game is still to be determined.
