The transfer specialist reports that the Guinea international's future is far from clear as Reds continue to track Wolves midfielder.

Naby Keita could leave Liverpool as a free agent this summer according to Fabrizio Romano.

The 27-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season and his future remains unclear alongside the likes of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, and Roberto Firmino who all find themselves in a similar situation.

Guinea international Keita has recently forced his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s starting XI after missing the first half of the campaign with a hamstring injury.

Despite his increase in game time of late however, Romano claims that there are ‘no advanced talks’ to sign an extended contract at Anfield meaning the midfielder ‘could leave as a free agent’ this summer.

Romano also confirms recent reports regarding Liverpool’s interest in Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes.

The Merseyside club were strongly linked with a move for the 24-year-old before his transfer from Sporting Lisbon to Molineux last summer but a move never materialised.

It appears however that a move for the Portuguese international could be back on the cards when the season ends with Romano suggesting he is being followed by the Anfield hierarchy.
