A teenager is dead after a shooting Monday at a gas station near 35th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Just before 8:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to the area for reports of a shooting.
When officers arrived they located a teenage male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A man and teenage female were detailed, however, police say the man has since been released. The female is being held at the Maricopa County Juvenile Detention Center pending an investigation.
An initial investigation revealed the three were involved in a confrontation that resulted in the teen being shot, police said.
