Congratulations are in order for Holby City actor Lee Mead, as he has announced that he is engaged to girlfriend Issy Szumniak.
The actor and singer, who rose to fame after winning Any Dream Will Do in 2007 and also starred in Casualty, shared a photo of the couple in the sunshine to his Instagram, with Issy wearing an engagement ring.
"So this happened today, and my beautiful Issy said yes," he wrote. "We're both so happy and can't wait to spend forever together."

Plenty of fans wrote messages of congratulations in the comments, with fellow West End performer Louise Dearman writing: "Ah wow congratulations to you both. The most beautiful soul who deserves so much happiness xxx."
Lee and salon boss Issy have been together for around four years now, having first met in 2018, although he has admitted to taking a while to build up the courage to ask her out.
Before they met, Lee was married to Denise van Outen (who was a judge on Any Dream Will Do) between 2009 and 2013. The former couple have a daughter named Betsy.
Just a few days ago, Lee appeared on This Morning to talk about his hair transplant, stating: "I had my first one 15 years ago, but nobody knew it had happened.
"I have always said there is nothing wrong with being bald. It's a personal thing. For me, I had this great hair but I was receding underneath and it affected my confidence a little bit...
"There's so many theatre roles where you can just wear a wig. I don't think that matters at all. For me, I just thought, 'get it done'. It's so common now but not publicly spoken about as it should be."
