On May 3rd, join the Harrison Center and Indianapolis Motor Speedway for First Friday and the annual Porch Party Indy Kick-Off.

Admission is free and open to the community. Registration is not required.

Also featured will be Open Studio Night, Indy Flow Jam, a DJ and mocktail bar sponsored by Red Bull, Suspended Animation Aerials, a race flag pennant-making class, food trucks, and music by El Sistem and members of Coro Latinoamericano.

A women's bicycle riding and empowerment program is turning to musical divas for inspiration and motivation. IU Health Momentum Indy's Divas is expanding for its second year but you can still sign up. To learn more about how different diva groups take on different speeds and routes, click here.

Summer Triathlons for your Kids

This summer, kids ages 7 to 14 and their friends can enjoy five triathlons which are designed just for kids! Time tables and distances will vary by age group and also by location and facilities, but will conform to USAT Youth Triathlon guidelines and regulations. 

Each race will have varied distances based on their layouts.

DNR to host annual Teddy Bear Camp during National …

The Division of Historic Preservation & Archaeology hosts Teddy Bear Camp each May during National Historic Preservation Month.

The camp is for all stuffed animals, not just Teddy bears, belonging to children ages 5-12 in Marion, Hamilton, Hancock, Shelby, Johnson, Morgan, Hendricks, or Boone counties.

The “campers” will visit a variety of places during the event to "learn" about history, architecture, archaeology, and historic preservation. Photos of camp adventures will be posted to DHPA's Facebook page throughout camp.
