Home and Away star Matt Evans has released a music video featuring some of his co-stars from the soap.

The actor, who plays Theo Poulos on the Australian show, released the video for his new single ‘Over It’ earlier today (February 6), enlisting the help of several famous faces in the process.

Jacqui Purvis, Luke Van Os, Kyle Shilling, Juliet Godwin, Emily Weir, Stephanie Panozzo and Adam Rowland all appeared in the video, which was shot at Evans’ home.

Speaking to 7Life, Evans explained that he wanted to have fun with the video, saying: "I thought it'd be a really good idea just to get all my friends around here just to have a bit of a party.

"Obviously there’s a lot of actors in it from Home and Away. I really appreciated everyone helping out," he continued, before revealing the meaning behind the song: "[It’s about being] over with a relationship and kind of moving on and checking in with your friends again and trying to find happiness."

Evans, who appeared on The Voice prior to joining the soap, revealed that the single had been in the pipeline for a long time, saying his aspirations closely align with that of his character’s.

"It’s been a long time in the making and I’ve been singing for about 10 years," he revealed. "I studied at WAAPA (Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts) in Perth and did The Voice. It's what I've been wanting to do for years so it's pretty awesome."

Evans, who joined the soap in 2021, has previously used his experience with music to inform some of Theo’s storylines, with the character serenading Chloe Anderson as he tried to win her affections last year.
