Auraria campus says “no ongoing threat to community” after bomb threat led to evacuations

Residents and visitors, though, should continue to avoid Lynx Crossing

The Auraria Campus Police Department says there is “no ongoing threat to the community” after a bomb threat Monday afternoon led to evacuations.

The threat came in to campus police around 1:10 p.m. regarding Lynx Crossing, 318 Walnut St., a student residential building run by the University of Colorado, Denver, the Auraria Higher Education Center said in a news release.

Denver police and fire responders, along with campus police, evacuated the building and determined there was no threat, the release stated. The area was cleared by 2:51 p.m.

Authorities are still investigating the incident.
