Less than two weeks after it was reported that Brandi Glanville and Caroline Manzo left The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, Peacock is launching an investigation into the incident behind their abrupt departure.
The drama unfolded after Glanville allegedly kissed Manzo multiple times without her consent at a party while filming the show’s fourth season in Marrakech, Morocco.
A source told People, “It was unwanted. And Caroline’s distress over the matter did not seem to stop Brandi. Things escalated and physical boundaries allegedly were crossed that Caroline felt were serious and uncomfortable.”
Another source added that as a result of Glanville’s “inappropriate” behavior, she was asked to leave filming. And later that night, Manzo decided to leave the show on her own accord.
In a joint statement, Peacock and Shed Media, the production company behind the series, told Entertainment Weekly, “The safety and security of cast and crew while shooting is extremely important and we take all reports seriously. In this situation, production immediately launched a comprehensive review and is taking appropriate action.”
The cast for RHUGT Season 4 was announced last month. The remaining housewives include Vicki Gunvalson (The Real Housewives of Orange County), Eva Marcille (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Phaedra Parks (The Real Housewives of Atlanta), Camille Meyer (The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills), Alex McCord (The Real Housewives of New York City) and Gretchen Rossi (The Real Housewives of Orange County).
However, it may be a while before we get to see how it all went down, seeing as the show’s third season — which is taking place in Thailand and starring Leah McSweeney, Gizelle Bryant, Candiace Dillard-Basset, Heather Gay, Whitney Rose, Porsha Williams, Alexia Echevarria and Marysol Patton — isn’t slated to release until later this year.
